Anita McCurdie
Wellbeing in Education
Reviews
Louise Mansell - Tedology
What stood out to me about Anita was how she used thoughtful, well-judged questions to help bring important ideas to the surface. Through her warm and engaging approach, she supported me to clearly share a key message, and could see that we don’t just need more psychologists in schools, but a shift in environment and ethos that supports all children using a trauma informed approach.
She has a strong ability to guide conversations in a way that keeps them practical, grounded in science, and accessible to educators. Her focus is always on what will actually help in everyday school life.
Anita’s commitment doesn’t stop at the conversation. She continues to share engaging, bite-sized content and is responsive to what educators need, making her work both relevant and impactful.

Anita thank you for the conversation. What I really appreciated was the space you created to go beyond the usual crisis narrative without dismissing it. Both things can be true — this is a deeply stressful profession, and there are educators flourishing inside that same stress. We just don't talk about the second group enough.
One thing that's stuck with me since we recorded: you asked what flourishing looks like day to day. And the honest answer is it's mostly invisible. It's not a program or a policy. It's a teacher choosing not to fill a silence. It's a leader checking in with no agenda. It's the things people do when no one's measuring.
The conversation only goes where it does because of the way you hold the space. You ask the kind of questions that make people think differently, not just confirm what they already believe. That's rare and it's exactly why Right Now matters. Really appreciate you. Really grateful for what you're building with Right Now. More of these conversations, please.

Congratulations Anita McCurdie you will be awesome. Your curiosity shines through in the questions you ask. You’d think that would be obvious, but there are mediocre, predictable questions, and then there are twisty, turny, provocative questions. You ask the latter 😊. Go you!
